General Surgeon Specialist He graduated from Istanbul University Medical School in 1996. He was accepted at SSK Goztepe Training and Research Hospital at the General Surgery Department in 1997. He primarily focused on gastrointestinal cancer surgery and hepatobiliary surgery, during his residency, completing it in 2003. He then worked as a specialist before being accepted as an associate professor at the Mustafa Kemal University, Tayfur Ata Sökmen Medical School, General Surgery Department. He then continued to work as a specialist at the Central Hospital, performing more than 5000 operations. Bozkurtoglu showed interest in conducting bariatric surgery in 2013, and effectively did surgical applications on sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-y gastric bypass, gastric mini bypass, and gastric balloon.
